What could an ancient Crystal, the salvation of the Elfen Race of Ra-Jee, and two from the future have in common?

The Elfen Race of Ra-Jee is in jeopardy--in danger of becoming merely a memory. But destiny in the form of an Ancient Crystal has decreed that one young Elfen maiden, Ra-May, and one human male, Michall, must meet, and in that meeting, venture forward to vanquish the evil that has tainted Ra-Jee--or die trying.

Accompanied by Ra-May’s Guardian, an Elfen Warrior named Ra-Nu, and Michall’s mischievous kin, Phillip, they set out to challenge the Del-a-Shar who has enchanted Ra-Jee and stolen away the Elfen Race.

Ancient magic, awakened and set free once again, weaves its web throughout the
story, bringing characters, events, and places together to accomplish its goal--whether they are willing or not.

Sime-Gen Reviews
ELFEN GOLD is a compelling fantasy that will make Sheri L. McGathy a household name among genre fans. The story line is fast-paced and filled with magic, but the heroine is still allowed time to fully develop as a character so that readers can appreciate her quest. Clearly the magic’s in the words as readers will believe in elven realms as described by Ms. McGathy, who is either a descendant or an honored visitor of the Ra-Jee.

Elfen Gold
ELFEN GOLD shimmers with magical enchantment. This deftly-woven tale delights with its charming characters and lyrical descriptive passages. Here is a world of mystical beauty and dark danger. Fans of sorcery, fantasy or simply being immersed in another fictional world shouldn?t miss this book.

Scribes World Reviews
Five Stars! ELFEN GOLD is a truly magical "fairy" tale with well-developed characters brought vividly to life. The reader feels the true evil of Del-a-Shar and the love and pride Ra-Nu feels for Ra-May. The descriptive narrative brings the surroundings vividly to life; the reader can almost hear Ar-Ion’s footsteps as he paces awaiting Ra-May’s birth. ELFEN GOLD is enchanting, vibrant and entertaining with just the right touch of suspense. The plot and setting were new and refreshing to me. Ms. McGathy’s writing flows smoothly from one chapter to the next, holding the reader captive till the last page is turned. I felt like a young girl experiencing my first fairy tale all over again. Sheri McGathy’s vivid imagination shines through. Definitely an author to keep an eye on. ELFEN GOLD is a wonderful way to spend a rainy afternoon!

Prologue

He emerged from the swirling mists and dropped to his knees, sinking deep into the dew-sodden ground. Ignoring its clammy feel against his bare skin, he raised his gaze skyward and shouted, "Was it in vain?"

The mist recoiled from his voice, pulling back and folding in upon itself.

Digging his fingers through the wet earth, fighting the urge to surrender to hopelessness, he cried, "Promise me it was not."

A lonely wail was his only answer.
